Gwen Fulcher Young

Gwen Fulcher Young is the retired president and broker of Gwen Fulcher Young and Associates Real Estate company.

Licensed in 1977, she retired after over 35 years in the business in Augusta, Georgia. She was the first woman to receive the coveted Commercial Trophy awarded by The Augusta Board of Realtors, Inc., as well as numerous other awards for results in the practice of both residential and commercial real estate brokerage. Ms. Fulcher Young (Gwen) holds many professional designations and was inducted into The International Real Estate Hall of Fame.

Her company philosophy "My Priorities Are Simple... They're Yours" is trademarked by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Ms. Fulcher Young, appointed by governors Perdue and Deal, served over nine (9) years as a member of The Georgia Real Estate Commission. She retired in 2013 from the regulatory board which licenses and regulates all real estate brokers, agents, and real estate transactions in Georgia. She was the only woman on the board and served two (2) terms as Chairman.

Active in community life, Ms. Fulcher Young co-founded the popular Tuesday's Music Live concert series, is a founding member of Women in Philanthropy, and was named a Woman of Excellence. She is a National Master Flower Show Judge Emeritus and a Georgia Master Naturalist.

Quite the adventurer, Ms. Fulcher Young has landed on the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, made a dive in the trident submarine USS Jackson, flown backseat in a L-39 Soviet Fighter Jet, and sky dived with The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.

She is married to Bob Young, former Mayor of Augusta. The Youngs celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary in 2014 and are members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and The Augusta Country Club. Mother of two (2) daughters, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and her grandchildren.
